AC Technician

Job Description

• Install, repair, and maintain air conditioning systems, including ducted and ductless systems, split systems, and central air conditioning units.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and lubricating moving parts to ensure efficient operation.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in air conditioning systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements of defective parts.
• Conduct performance tests and inspections of air conditioning units to identify and resolve issues affecting their functionality.
• Calibrate thermostats and ensure proper airflow and ventilation in air conditioning systems.
• Handle refrigerants safely and in accordance with environmental regulations.
• Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair air conditioning systems.
• Provide estimates for repairs or installations and explain technical issues to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, parts used, and hours worked.
• Keep abreast of industry developments and new technologies in air conditioning systems.
