Montessori Head Teacher

Job Description

• Develop and implement the Montessori curriculum in accordance with the school’s philosophy and standards.
• Lead classroom instruction and activities, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children’s holistic development.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides, providing guidance and support in implementing Montessori principles.
• Collaborate with school administrators and staff to ensure smooth operation of the school, including scheduling, enrollment, and parent communication.
• Conduct parent conferences and maintain open communication with families regarding children’s progress and development.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring materials are accessible and properly maintained.
• Plan and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their understanding of Montessori principles and teaching techniques.
• Stay current with developments in Montessori education and participate in relevant professional organizations and conferences.
• Foster a positive and inclusive school community, promoting respect, collaboration, and cultural diversity.
• Uphold ethical and professional standards in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues.
