Service Advisor

Job Description

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival at the service department.
• Listen attentively to customers’ concerns and questions regarding their vehicle’s performance, symptoms, and service history.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and diagnostics to accurately identify service and repair needs.
• Provide detailed explanations of recommended services, including cost estimates and timelines, to customers.
• Recommend additional services or repairs based on manufacturer guidelines, vehicle condition, and customer preferences.
• Coordinate service appointments and schedule repairs with the service department to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of work.
• Communicate with technicians regarding customer concerns, service requirements, and any additional information provided by the customer.
• Update customers on the status of their vehicle during the service process and notify them promptly of any delays or changes to the original estimate.
• Review completed service work with customers, explaining the repairs performed and any recommended maintenance for future consideration.
• Process service orders, invoices, and payments accurately and efficiently using the dealership’s computer system.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service history, and vehicle repairs in the dealership database.
• Follow up with customers after service visits to ensure satisfaction and address any additional concerns or questions they may have.
• Stay informed about new products, services, and promotions offered by the dealership to effectively upsell and cross-sell to customers.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and customer service standards, at all times.
